Hyundai Glovis Strikes 500-Billion-Won Transportation Contract with Overseas Carmaker
Hyundai Glovis announced on Dec. 16 that it has signed a super-large transportation contract worth 51.8 billion won with an overseas carmaker.
This is the largest contract Hyundai Glovis has signed with a single global carmaker, and Hyundai Glovis plans to ship cars produced in China to Europe from January to December 2022.
In 2020, as Volkswagen Group signed a five-year long-term maritime transport contract with Hyundai Glovis, Hyundai Glovis will exclusively transport all of Volkswagen Group’s passenger cars of Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche from Europe.
Hyundai Glovis expects to further boost its profitability by stably securing round-trip marine transportation between Europe and China by winning a series of large orders through this contract with Volkswagen Group following a previous contract with Volkswagen.
